Sanctuary Asia

Summary

Sanctuary Asia is a fully immersive and engaging exhibit at the Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden. The exhibit is the new home for Asian elephants, Indian rhinos, Komodo dragons, red pandas, Francois’ langurs, several tanuki (also known as raccoon dogs), cassowaries and Burmese Black Mountain tortoises. This addition is part of the zoo’s mission to group animals by continent, allowing a real glimpse of how these regional animals coexist. The exhibit features a two-story dining restaurant which will not only overlook the external habitats, but will also house the Komodo dragon habitat.
