Summary
This project was focused on the renovation of the 18,000 square foot Nicholson Tower building, located at the Health Sciences Center campus in Oklahoma City.
Oklahoma University needed the renovated space to provide data services in the campus enterprise data center, where the university’s most critical information assets (including Patient Health Information) could be stored securely. Centralizing confidential electronic data in a secured center addresses many potentially problematic issues including the need for increased physical security, the application of uniform administrative procedures, uniform data custodial activities including backups, the risks of off-site storage, safe disk drive disposal, and uniform network protection policies.
The project was implemented through several phases that included consolidated infrastructure design, the implementation of a highly available data environment, stakeholder-driven services development, and operations/financial modeling.
